Ppl are like goldfish
If there’s one thing I learnt this week it’s the art of unlearning.
unlearning habits that have somehow forced their way uninvited into the day
I was signed up to go to like 4 different events this week, to go into the city every day.
Guess how many I went to? None, zero, nil
Why? Well I wish I could say it’s because I was locked in working but that would be a lie.
In fact I was not working. I didn’t go because I didn’t want to, but the takeaway here is that I need to be less lazy.
And that also, I didn’t feel forced to go like I usually do.
Normally I feel like I need to go, I have to be at every event or people will forget I exist, like goldfish.
But the truth is, if that’s the case then I’ve failed. Ppl shouting know you as that person who they see at events, at least I don’t want to be known for that.
I want to be known for something I do/built/made etc…
Not spending 90% of my time getting into rooms I don’t have a reason to be in.
It’s working backwards, first have a reason and/or goal, then get in the rooms.
No?
So anyways, that my Ted talk for today, one more week till it’s off to SF/Vegas 🥳
See you tomorrow
