To me, Sundays have always been reset days.
Once I got onto LinkedIn and twitter though, it was all about the hustle, and grind, and never taking a day off, always working.
Like many of my fellow students, I fell into that. I felt guilty when I wasn’t productive, or when I woke up late. I don’t know why I say this is past tense, I honestly still do.
The thing is, they weren’t wrong.
If you want to be great, you need to put in above average effort. Go above and beyond.
I often think about that line:
If someone were to watch your life, would they think you were serious about your goals?
If someone saw you wake up late, doom scroll, eat, shower, sleep, would they believe you wanted to build the next unicorn?
I doubt it.
but it doesn’t mean work yourself to the point of hatred for what you’re doing, or to the point you burn out constantly.
Validation should come from within, and if you’re chasing external validation you will always be running.
No one needs to understand it but you, but that also doesn’t mean be lazy
its all about balance.
I hope that made some semblance of sense, honestly still;l getting the hang of this writing thing (feedback welcome, feel free to roast me lol)
a short post today, but I honestly spent the day catching up on a show and building a lil shark game (hopefully this weeks release!)
and I’ll end off with a warning: do not watch the first frost on Netflix unless you are emotionally prepared. (idk how to add emojis here, but imagine I added that smiling one w the tear okay?)
see you tomorrow
